By Elance Learning Center, a prominent tuition center in Kerala, India, sought to establish its headquarters reflecting its core values and accommodating its growing student base. Vili & Vé Architecture undertook the challenge to design a dynamic workspace within a limited area of approximately 3000 sqft, aiming to create an environment conducive to learning and collaboration.
Design Concept
Embracing a predominantly white color palette, the design incorporates accents of yellow, red, and blue, symbolizing vibrancy and creativity. Elevated platforms signify hierarchy, with a raised waiting lounge serving as the focal point at the entry, featuring a statue embodying the center’s ethos of reaching for excellence. The conference area functions as the central meeting space, fostering formal and informal interactions.
Spatial Organization
Upon entering, the floor plan delineates into four core groups representing specific departments, concealed beneath a striking metal tree installation. The right side houses department workstations, while the left accommodates the CEO’s office, discussion lounge, and cabins for key personnel. Studios and workstations directly connected to the CEO’s office promote seamless communication and collaboration.
Artistic Elements
Artistic elements are strategically integrated throughout the space, contributing to the overall ambiance and reflecting the organization’s values. Metal structures resembling trees symbolize growth and learning, while a parametric wave installation at the reception signifies creativity and innovation. Cubist paintings add a touch of playfulness and discipline, aligning with the company’s ethos.
